This Triptych is being printed on Metal, and each panel is 16x24" in size, giving a combined wall size of 50x24" Cost to purchase such a display of this or another image would be $690.00. The metal prints are Brilliant color that last for generations, ready to hang, scratch resistant and washable with window cleaners.

Just before Christmas Lennies

I was thrilled on the 22nd to get my early Christmas present!  You know me and my Lenticular clouds.  I was pretty excited to find these in Trout Lake for sunset.  Next day was rainbow day with wild rain, and the third day was sunny and blue skies!  Weather change indicators these are often called.

From Fire to Ice, Returning to the Klickitat River

I recently posted about my Fire calendar, and now I finally processed more of last weeks Ice extravaganza.  There are previous ice posts as well/

These images are from December 10 when the area was hovering above and below 0 deg F for awhile.  Highly unusual and amazing… even the birds were confused.

Ice glowed eerily in the light of sunset.

Ice glowed eerily in the light of sunset as temps once more dropped to freezing after a warmer day than we had seen in a week of below freezing temps.  On December 7 it was -3 deg in some spots in the area!

In the next few days my next shipment of calendars will be arriving, and the first run will get sent out to the folks who have prepaid and are waiting patiently.  I will let you know soon if more will be available!  Also, I did order 20 Desk calendars that have a full 12 months of photos as well, but are only $16.00 .  They are a mixture of the best shots from the other 2014 calendars which you can see by clicking on the calendar image below:

Ice Falls in the East Columbia Gorge

Ice_9518-1

Today I was able to get out and about for awhile with a friend locally, for a short time.  We decided to drive East of White Salmon to a small roadside falls near Rowland Lake to practice shooting iced up waterfalls.  It is so seldom I get the chance to shoot icicles that it always takes a little messing around with settings to look for the right ones!  I remembered that when shooting ice and snow it is best to actually over expose, while watching histograms closely to avoid bad blow out of the highlights.
