Redbuds, Blue Jays, and Joy

Spring is such a wondrous time of year. The sap begins to flow again in people as well as trees. Spirits lift, even spring storms become magnificent paintings instead of drudgery. I wake in the morning to the sounds of joyful birds and a smile on my face knowing that greens are returning via new leaves and buds; and colors will once again be painted into the landscape.

Prayer For Roseburg

“Prayer For  Roseburg and UCC”

Tears fall from many… and gather together as one.

Life, ever uncertain,   becomes ever more precious this  night.

Flames of hope and love light    your vigil, as community gathers

to    drive     away    the      anger,  fear and pain.

Or,   at  least,  hold  it  at  bay  for  the moment.

Hands reach out,  hearts across the land open,

spinning love and compassion into rope

to help pull lost hearts to safety.

Gathered, together… all the

tears… to wash clean

the wounds.

Bright and Cheery Bits of Color

There is  such joy in the details of this earth we live on!  Here are a few macro flower images for your enjoyment.  I have become known more for landscapes and clouds, but flower macros are where I started falling in love with photography.   Other than the featured image, These are all from 2008, unpublished before now.

I do have a landscape and waterfall gallery show still hanging in Hood River, Oregon at Boda’s Kitchen, if you are in the area stop on by and enjoy some of their lovely deli salads and wonderful sandwiches or soup.  Boda’s Kitchen is located at 404 Oak St, Hood River, Oregon.

Thank you for coming to look, If you have time, explore the links in the sidebar for Galleries, photo books and my social media sites.

And now, without further ado, here are the flowers!
