Winter Cards Sale

I have a winter set of 5 x 7″ notecards available as random assortment or handpicked selection. These are printed directly as color copies of a PDF file, onto a glossy coverstock paper using a high quality printer, and were quite popular recently at the Trout Lake Christmas Bazaar!
PRICE: 10 pack with envelopes for $25 or 6 for $15
I can take payment via paypal, debit/ credit, or check.

Include shipping and handling of $5 (or $7 for larger orders of 20 or more) and tax on Washington orders.

Two options:

1. Order a random set and I will pick out the number of cards you want for you ;
2. Give me a list of card numbers and how many of each in an email to starlisa.black (at) gmail (dot) com or on facebook message at https://www.facebook.com/StarlisaBlack . Include your email, and I can send you an invoice which you can pay with paypal, or credit/debit cards; or send a check to

Darlisa Black
P.O. Box 854,

White Salmon, WA, 98672

These cards have no writing inside, but on the back there is a fair amount of information on what and where, and in some cases a bit of history and other tidbits about our area. I intentionally left them as generic winter cards primarily because I have a wide range of friends and fans on many religious and non religious paths in life and I like to honor individual choice.

Magazine Ad

I have been learning some things about graphics design, in the process of creating an ad for myself in the Columbia Gorge Magazine.  What a grand learning curve it has been, with the help of a couple friends giving me tips.  I think this is the final result… although the print version will actually be a CMYK file saved as PDF.  Finished ad will be 2.375″ square.  What do you think?

UPDATE:  I changed out the print for the final product

Thanks everyone for helping me get a show ready!

Thank you all for jumping in on this gallery show!

Thank you all for jumping in on this gallery show!

This was a real Win-Win situation I feel like… several of you got some killer awesome prints coming at barely above cost, and I got those prints to use for this gallery show!  I was too broke to go buy new prints, and this idea popped in during a moment of inspiration.

I will probably do this for another show sometimes!

Thanks everyone… and yes the sale is Done now except for those I have already discussed options with.

This weekend will be a 2 day market at the Grange in Trout Lake, Washington, too!  I am now planning to go set up a booth for the weekend.  It is also the annual Trout Lake Community Yard Sale to raise money for scholarships for kids and other community needs.

Be sure to check out the links in the sidebar when you have time, especially the galleries link!

Have a great weekend…

I had a stupendous evening up on this hill in Washington not far from White Salmon, watching the sky flare up then fade back down.  Color lasted for over an hour in the clouds as though a magic wand had waved over them so they could hold the color.

A bit later, looking South at Mount Hood, colors were becoming more pastel

I have been adding and reorganizing my main photo gallery on SmugMug.  What do you think, does it flow well?  If you click on the photo above it will take you to a corresponding page in the Best Prints: Inspiring Light Gallery.  From there you can explore many more pages!  Many of these images are full of memories for me, driving somewhere at midnight to catch the Aurora, visiting friends, being late for work because of a rainbow… you get the idea.  I pour my heart and soul into my photography, and hope that the joy and awe present in that moment comes through in the image I create.

Prints can be purchased via the link above (the photo), but I also can create Metal Prints, Canvas Prints, Thin Wraps and Standouts.  I currently will be showing a 24×50″ triple panel image at local events.  For any of these, contact me directly at starlisa.black@gmail.com, via the links under each image, or via the contact form below to ask about printing any of the images on any of these mediums.

In the previous post you will see information about a local community Business Fair in White Salmon, WA.  This next photo will take you to that post.

This Triptych is being printed on Metal, and each panel is 16x24" in size, giving a combined wall size of 50x24". You can read more about the event this will be displayed at locally by clicking on this image.

From Fire to Ice, Returning to the Klickitat River

I recently posted about my Fire calendar, and now I finally processed more of last weeks Ice extravaganza.  There are previous ice posts as well/

These images are from December 10 when the area was hovering above and below 0 deg F for awhile.  Highly unusual and amazing… even the birds were confused.
