Supermoon Lunar Eclipse
For the “Super Blood Moon” event I went with my friend Gary up on Dalles Mountain in hopes of seeing more of the moon coming over the horizon. In hindsite, I am not certain that was quite the case, but it was still a lovely night. Many people were out on the roads last nightContinue reading “Supermoon Lunar Eclipse”
Yakama Tribe Dip Netting
Taken near the Columbia Gorge in September, 2015, Native Americans catch fish the old fashioned way their ancestors used. Materials are a bit more modern, but the concept remains the same. I always encourage people to respect the ones fishing, ask before taking photos, and offer to send them images of themselves.
Dinnertime with the Blue Heron
I had a lovely peaceful day recently beside Rowland Lake along Highway 14 between Bingen and Lyle, Washington. The lake was stocked with fish that morning, and the ospreys and herons were eating good. Click on the first photo, and then use side arrows to see all images larger.
High Prairie Sunset
My friend invited me up to her birthday barbeque on High Prairie today, and I took a photo of her goose while I was there. Then, on the way back down the hill home, I caught these sunset images from Sunday night, last day of May 2015. These are processed minimally, I wanted to justContinue reading “High Prairie Sunset”
Rosauer’s Rainbow
Today sis Nora and I took ourselves out to dinner at Shary’s restaurant in Hood River after her appointment across the street getting shots to help her poor arthritic knees. She loved the food, and just doing something different and rare for her. When we came out of the restaurant in a rainstorm, this viewContinue reading “Rosauer’s Rainbow”
Fun in the Sun, a Forest Visit.
Once again I had a chance to head for the hills overnight… here are a few shots from Gifford Pinchot Forest taken May 3-4, 2015. Enjoy! Think of this as the installment plan 🙂
Journey into Paradise
May Day dawned with the decision to head to the hills again for the first time in far too long. I finally achieved escape velocity after various errands. A short stop in Trout Lake, a side trip to the Ice caves (with no ice left!!) and then on my way up the 23 road. Thanks toContinue reading “Journey into Paradise”
Look into my Crystal Ball
I recently aquired a crystal ball, and have been having fun playing with it in photography. Hope you enjoy also! Life has been full of changes recently, so my apologies for not staying updated here. I am on facebook more frequently for those that play there. Thanks for looking!
