I lost My Marbles

I lost my marbles!! And then my sister friend Janice came to visit and helped me find them, and we found hers too🤪😂😂

Are yours here too? 🤗

Before that, when we were driving up this away, I had to show Janice The truth of my bumper sticker. “I Brake for Interesting Cloud Formations”. I didn’t teach her anything new though, she’s been around me before LOL.

I was so excited to have my friend come, got to introduce her to some family and friends along the way.

This evening, my friend next door shared some delicious stew with me.

This was a very good day! And now, sitting in my comfy chair with my dear sweet Willow on my lap. I love the way he likes to hold my hand.

I hope you all have a pleasant week ahead!

Snow for Valentine’s Day

In spite of the fact that last week it approached 60° for a bit, and plants are starting to show signs of budding and even blooming in some areas further down hill, this morning I was reminded that it is definitely still winter in Trout Lake. ⛄️❄️🌈⛄️.

We might get more over the next few days.

Poor Dear Willow, I know you think this is all my fault, with your poor tired body and achy bones. Believe me I can relate to the tired old body and aching bones bit! I used to like shoveling snow. 😂🤪❄️

Rainbow Weather

Last night barrels and buckets full of rain fell in Glenwood, WA and in much of the northwest.  In spite of flooded foundations and water over the roadway, it all looks beautiful when the sun pops out and a rainbow shines.

This last rainbow is one from Friday, October 20 along Highway 141 near White Salmon, Washington.

A Month for Sunsets

Just this week alone there have been several remarkable sunset.  Since the last post I have chased a couple more in White Salmon, Washington.  Funny, I use the term “chased the sunset” as a gauge to how I am doing…or chasing clouds… If I do not say that for awhile, it is time to examine my priorities and take better care of myself!

June 18, 2016, on foot, walking the streets near home looking for a clear view for Mount Hood and the sweet standing wave clouds.

Same day, a drive up on a hill gave me this view of the Columbia River Gorge at sunset.June18-GorgeSunset-WS_5543

June 19th I was busy in the house and looked out the window and ran out into the street to catch these shots at the twilight hour.

June Sunset in the Gorge

Recently I was treated to an amazing sunset over the Columbia River Gorge in White Salmon, Washington.  I drove to the top of a hill, met some new friends, and fell in love all over again with clouds and wind in my hair on a hill top as day deepened into twilight.  Do you know that feeling?  If not, find yourself out there somewhere, by a river, on a hilltop, in a desert.  Watch past the sunset, watch for the fading light, the appearance of first planets and stars… and just breathe it all in with Gratitude.

For anyone who misses my more regular posts, I have no internet at home and it has been challenging to get somewhere with everything to post, when I do pop on internet, I have so many things to catch up on I get very little done!

Anyone want to help with that? I have a Tip Jar, a donate button on my wordpress website here, on the right sidebar down aways. Working my way back into the world again slowly, it has been a slow process this year, and have not been able to really work much lately. Things are looking up however! I will be an intern this summer at the museum in Bingen on weekends… you should pop in there and check out the displays, make a small donation to the museum, or even become a member for $20 a year for individuals!

Quiet Splendor

A day of driving about following an interview in Goldendale… the light came out, skies were fascinating, and here are just a few images from today’s adventure.

January 26, 2016

Fog shrouded hills and fields as I drove into Goldendale on Highway 97.

Random creek thru the fields off Bickleton Highway

Returning down Hoctor Road, I was fascinated with the standing wave clouds emanating from the direction of Mount Adams, and then I spotted this seasonal runoff creek. It seemed to make the perfect counterpoint to the clouds.

Nearly the end of the day, a view of Dalles Mountain from Hoctor Road, and the fog returns.

Glenwood Aurora

This gallery contains 15 photos.

While the majority of my aurora shots have been from Trout Lake side of Mount Adams, I found this series of shots in my archives that had been forgotten, from Glenwood, WA.  June 1, 2013  Mount Adams still features strongly.  The first two shots were of something I have not experienced any other time; and […]

High Prairie Sunset

My friend invited me up to her birthday barbeque on High Prairie today, and I took a photo of her goose while I was there.  Then, on the way back down the hill home, I caught these sunset images from Sunday night, last day of May 2015.  These are processed minimally, I wanted to just share as soon as possible.
