I can take payment via paypal, debit/ credit, or check.

Include shipping and handling of $5 (or $7 for larger orders of 20 or more) and tax on Washington orders.

Two options:

1. Order a random set and I will pick out the number of cards you want for you ;
2. Give me a list of card numbers and how many of each in an email to starlisa.black (at) gmail (dot) com or on facebook message at https://www.facebook.com/StarlisaBlack . Include your email, and I can send you an invoice which you can pay with paypal, or credit/debit cards; or send a check to

Darlisa Black
P.O. Box 854,

White Salmon, WA, 98672

These cards have no writing inside, but on the back there is a fair amount of information on what and where, and in some cases a bit of history and other tidbits about our area. I intentionally left them as generic winter cards primarily because I have a wide range of friends and fans on many religious and non religious paths in life and I like to honor individual choice.

Snow and Ice day

It was a wild and fun ride to Trout Lake this morning to the Christmas bazaar, like old times when I lived up there and braved those snow covered roads daily all the way to White Salmon and back.  The bazaar was a success thanks to the folks from Trout Lake and Beyond, made some sales and lovely trades and had many good hugs and visits from old friends.  THank you Trout Lake!!!  Also I was invited to come join the Trout Lake Art Festival next year.

Brought some snow and ice back to share with you!

( ps; I am now taking presales for calendars which will be out in a couple weeks.  I will post a set of images as soon as I finish them)

Third day of shoveling, the snow has changed as temperatures warm above the low teens where they have been recently. Each shovelful is much more significant, and heavy. Above freezing for a while midday, it was much more pleasant also to walk around and enjoy the view. Most of these images are from today, I hope you enjoy.

Magnificent Ice Formations

Weeping Wall drips with ice at Bonneville Hotsprings resort on February 5, 2014

A day at the Bonneville Hot Springs Resort with my friend Cheryl brought wonderful much-needed muscle relaxation, and photo opportunities before the visit to the resort.  This lovely weeping wall covered with ice caught my attention on the way in, and called for a pause for taking pictures.

Tonight in White Salmon we have 4-6 inches of snow and still coming down, so now the ice will be all covered with little caps of snow!  I must go do some shoveling now… sigh.  My sister has to get out for Dialysis in the morning, and cannot miss that.

Thanks for visiting… and if you are in the area during February or March you can come see my large photo display at North Shore Cafe at 166 E. Jewett White Salmon, WA 98672 right on the main street through town, highway 141.

My images are all my own, and are copyrighted.  Many of them when clicked on take you to the higher quality image on my SmugMug gallery where you can purchase prints.  For Metal or Canvas prints, use this contact form to email me, or for comments use the regular comment box at the bottom of the page.  I do licence images for many uses as well, just ask…  and see my About the Photographer page in the menu bar to the right.

From Fire to Ice, Returning to the Klickitat River

I recently posted about my Fire calendar, and now I finally processed more of last weeks Ice extravaganza.  There are previous ice posts as well/

These images are from December 10 when the area was hovering above and below 0 deg F for awhile.  Highly unusual and amazing… even the birds were confused.

Thank you for looking, and consider taking a look at my books and calendars here:

Ice glowed eerily in the light of sunset.

Ice glowed eerily in the light of sunset as temps once more dropped to freezing after a warmer day than we had seen in a week of below freezing temps.  On December 7 it was -3 deg in some spots in the area!

In the next few days my next shipment of calendars will be arriving, and the first run will get sent out to the folks who have prepaid and are waiting patiently.  I will let you know soon if more will be available!  Also, I did order 20 Desk calendars that have a full 12 months of photos as well, but are only $16.00 .  They are a mixture of the best shots from the other 2014 calendars which you can see by clicking on the calendar image below:
