Lenticular show

Tonight was amazing, lines of mountain wave clouds, stacks of lenticular clouds like ducklings in a row. One stack at the top of each wave of fast moving air.

I raced to my favorite spot, over looking Mount Adams, and found this scene. enjoy!

Sunset

❤️ This image from November 2 Is fascinating to me. It’s such a mishmash! I took this at a local Schreiners wild animal farm near Lyle, Washington, with my phone.

I was on my way to The Dalles for a slideshow about a new book “Ever Wild” by Darryl Lloyd, with stories, photos, history in geology etc. about Mount Adams. I got distracted by a sunset.

On the way into the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, I had to stop for one more picture.

By the way, here is the cover of the beautiful new book, and if you click on it it will open the website about the book.

Bird Creek Meadows 2018

Someone recently sent me a bunch of pictures to share of tract D area, Bird Creek Meadows, and Mount Adams. . The devastation around the lakes up there was pretty intense but up in the Meadows things are not so bad. The three collage pictures of burned structures are The trailers of the Yakama Tribe Rangers that were up there at the time, at Mirror Lake and Bird lake.

These were shared anonymously but I appreciate the inside look at one of my favorite areas. I haven’t been up there since the Cascade Creek fire in 2015.

Yakama Tribes are in charge of this area and it is still closed to the public because of the Cascade Creek fire damage. They have no intentions of opening it at all this year and have been working on rebuilding fences, picnic tables, out houses, fire pit, trails, roads, signs etc.

My Backyard

I feel so blessed to be living where I do now, in Trout Lake. Tonight I heard the Elk bugling out beyond the lake, and the creek behind the house is sooo peaceful.

Sunset in Glenwood

On my way back from the woods Wednesday evening, i witnessed this wonderful sunset over Mount Adams, from Glenwood, WA.

Spring Storms

After spending some lovely time trying and failing to catch some lightning in Southern Washington Cascades May 6, i finally gave up on that and just enjoyed where I was standing. Hope you enjoy it with me!

Happy Earth Day!

Here is a series of images taken on 4/20/18, from Trout Lake to White Salmon, WA. These are phone shots. I hope you enjoy, and I hope you find yourself grateful today for this wonderful planet we all share. Thank you for your visits, feel free to share my posts!
