Mount Adams From a different point of view

I was up in the hills west of Mount Adams Tuesday 8/21/2019 and it was cloudy but the mountain was visible. There were interesting textures to the clouds so I stuck around at a fewpoint until sunset. For some foolish reason I didn’t have my camera with me, but I did get a few Photos with my phone.

that rock to the right of the peak in the foreground is the head of sleeping beauty from a different angle.

I found an interesting native legend from old days about Great Spirit and the mountains in this area.

Random Bits of Pink

Fiery pink, orange and purple sunset over Sleeping Beauty and the Trout Lake Natural Area Preserve

I just felt like some COLOR was appropriate, rich vibrant color to counteract the Ice and bitter wind outside. A friend treated me tonight to an amazing day at Bonneville Hot Springs Resort, and tonight coming home was the coldest it has been in awhile. So, for all of you anxious for warmer and brighter weather, I present PINK!

Red Sky at Night, Sailors Delight

Does that count for Red Suns as well? All this smoke in the area is really giving us some amazing sky phenomena. This is taken tonight, 9-24-2012 from White Salmon, WA. I did very little processing on any of these at this point.
I took a break from the Cascade Creek Fire today, to take care of my sister instead. Last night she had some heart troubles and had to visit the ER while I was up on the hill…so I did not go back up to the fire camp to sell calendars tonight.

the sale is over where I bought the calendars so for now i am not ordering more of those for now. There are still about 3 or 4 calendars left now, and eventually I will order more when I can get them cheaper. If you missed this round and wanted a calendar just contact me about getting your name on the list for next time.

Today I designed a new 8 1/2 x 11 inch Photobook using many of my fire images from Cascade Creek Fire. Tomorrow I should be able to pick those up and take them to the camp Tuesday night to sell.

Lenticular Sunrise in delicious PINK

Mount Adams was glowing so beautifully this morning in the alpenglow even before the sun directly kissed the snow on the peak… thanks to the Dogs I am taking care of I was up earlier enough, and all I had to do was throw on my boots and robe and grab my camera to run out on the deck and catch it… happy day!
