On my way back from the woods Wednesday evening, i witnessed this wonderful sunset over Mount Adams, from Glenwood, WA.
Many of you have seen my GoFundMe campaign by now, and I will be picking up my car today I think. The generosity and kindness of friends, family and strangers has been overwhelmingly positive, and I am filled with gratitude.
the photo, taken this month in Glenwood, Washington, will take you to my campaign page on GoFundMe if you want to help out with licencing, winter tires, and insurance now! I have the costs of the vehicle covered. The link will open in a new window or tab in your browser.
YES IT WAS WORTH THE TRIP!!! Seriously phenomenal!!! We had 1 min 27 seconds totality in Shaniko, Oregon. Not enough but incredible. The sky was violet, the corona alive. My daughter and her friend danced for joy and I am so happy I could share this with them. In fact if it were not for them I might not have come down here. I even managed to get a few shots :).
These are snapshots of the photos from my big camera, taken with my phone of the back of my camera. Can we have a do over please? 😀😀😀⭐️
My friend invited me up to her birthday barbeque on High Prairie today, and I took a photo of her goose while I was there. Then, on the way back down the hill home, I caught these sunset images from Sunday night, last day of May 2015. These are processed minimally, I wanted to just share as soon as possible.
ahhh, the wildflowers are blooming like crazy… they didn’t get the memo about winter being here until late March!
Catherine Creek Universal Access Area along Old Highway 8 near Lyle, WA is a wonderful ever changing place when spring hits… even if spring comes in February. Recent walks out around the paved handicap access trail in the sunshine that had a sharp bit of cold bite led to the discovery of fields of Grass Widows blooming, along with saxifrage varieties, Gold Stars, Prairie Stars, Columbia (purple) Desert Parsley as well as the yellow Desert Parsley. Pretty exciting! I will do another post soon with the wildflower closeups, but for this one i wanted to focus on this amazing beautiful day, February 22, 2015

And a Moon Halo rainbow for good measure! This first shot was from early in February, and I hear they were seen not only here in White Salmon, WA but also in Alaska and Canada and who knows where else?
This next series is all from February 7, 2015, on a run away drive about I took to clear my head of computers and processing. It was a lovely day, and included some sweet visiting time with friends. I also got some sample GLASS PRINTS today, one portrait and one waterfall… they are very lovely! This is something new to add to my print styles. After all that, I headed East from Bingen chasing the light, my favorite style, no plans, just go. In spite of my thoughts of driving up county into the hills, I only made it to Major Creek and then Balfour Park where i took a nice walk. No eagles there at that time, but I did see some at the Creek, along with the rainbow. Unfortunately, my time got cut short by a call from my Sis who I take care of, and she really needed some help, so that became the priority of the later afternoon and evening.
SO, here are a few more photos, I hope you are all having a good weekend, and find things around you to be grateful for!

I have been learning some things about graphics design, in the process of creating an ad for myself in the Columbia Gorge Magazine. What a grand learning curve it has been, with the help of a couple friends giving me tips. I think this is the final result… although the print version will actually be a CMYK file saved as PDF. Finished ad will be 2.375″ square. What do you think?
UPDATE: I changed out the print for the final product
